It is also certified to operate under extreme heat, while most devices shut down or degrade in extreme heat, the FP Series keeps running. The HIKMICRO FP21 is a pocket-sized thermal imaging camera designed for firefighting and industrial operations. It features SuperIR technology to enhance visibility through smoke, dust, and darkness, revealing hotspots and fine details. The camera is housed in an impact-resistant PPSU polymer shell and is rated IP67 for water and dust protection. It can operate in radiant heat up to 260°C, making it suitable for conditions that would damage standard imaging tools. The FP21 includes Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Optimised Detail Enhancement (ODE) features, which automatically adjust imaging across diverse settings, removing the need for manual calibration while maintaining visual precision. Its 3.2-inch LCD screen provides clear viewing, and fast startup, auto sleep, and screen lock keep operation simple under pressure. The FP21 is also rugged, with a 256 x 192 resolution, a NETD of under 30 mK, and a 25 Hz refresh rate. It is designed for mission-critical applications across firefighting and emergency response, complementing the FP31 model with advanced features like a visual lens, higher resolution, wider field of view, and expanded storage capacity.
